My Name is Bryan Russ, I am a locally trained Specialist Anaesthetist based in Perth Western Australia.
After obtaining my medical degree with distinction in 1988, I completed three years of hospital residency work in Perth before being selected for the inter hospital Anaesthesia training scheme. I obtained my advanced fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 1997. I now have experience in over 20,000 Adult and Paediatric general anaesthesia procedures. I have a visiting medical officer appointment at Fremantle hospital teaching advanced trainees, and work in full time clinical practice with some of Perths leading surgeons.
I participate in the Continuing Professional Development program run by the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. This involves ongoing educational activities, practice evaluation and emergency response education.
I maintain general and specialist (Anaesthesia) registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
