Roger completed his medical training at Otago University in Dunedin & Christchurch in NZ, graduating in 1997.
He worked in emergency medicine and intensive care for a number of years before commencing his anaesthesia training in WA. He completed fellowships at both KEMH and RPH before finishing training in 2007.
He has completed a Masters of Clinical Research at UWA in 2011. He has been a supervisor of training and the clinical lead for education at KEMH for 10 years. His clinical interests include the management of obstetric haemorrhage, medical education and podcasting. He has recently become an examiner for the ANZ College of Anaesthesia.
He has a wife and three children, enjoys cycling, trail running and in recent years has started volunteering for surgical oncology missions to Vanuatu.
